Steamboat Springs City Council hosts a booth at the Farmers Market where a special guest joins available council members every Saturday in staffing the city booth.
Going forward, the goal is to have various city departments, other elected officials and organizations associated with a particular topic of community interest participate in the booth with council over the summer. The City Council stand is staffed from 9am to 11am during the Farmers Market, which runs every Saturday from June 15 though September 15
This is an informal way to meet council members, ask a question and discuss areas of interest. It has evolved into a popular opportunity for residents to interact with council members in a relaxed atmosphere
