The citizens of Steamboat Springs are invited to apply to serve on the following city boards, commissions and committees:

Yampa Aerial from 5th - small

Planning Commission 

Three Regular, 3-year positions- terms currently expiring March 2024. Members of this Commission receive a Family Howelsen Hill Ski Pass and a Haymaker Golf pass.

Parks and Recreation Commission

Five Regular, 1 and 2-year positions- terms currently expiring March 2022 and March 2023. Members of this Commission receive a Family Howelsen Hill Ski Pass.

Ice Rink Advisory Committee

Three Regular, 2-year positions- terms currently expiring March 2023. Members of this Commission receive a Family Howelsen Hill Ski Pass and Ice Rink Punch pass. 

Applications are due by March 31st and the interview date is tentatively scheduled for April 14, 2021.

Weeds Whitetop

Routt County Noxious Weed Board

Seat Seven (resident in City Limits), 3-year position. Please use the standard application form above. Some duties of the board include: 

  • Review the Noxious Weed Plan
  • Develop management criteria for noxious weeds
  • Require submittal of individual integrated management plans
