Mineral Springs Tour2020-07-08T09:00:00The Yampatika Mineral Springs Tour is a free walk that will take you around town exploring and learning about the geology and history of the mineral springs and what makes each unique. This program is offered in partnership with Tread of Pioneers Museum and is catered to adults.
No registration is required, meet at the parking lot at the Art Depot (1001 13th St). Group size will be limited on a first-come, first-serve basis following the most recent State/County regulations on group size allowances due to COVID-19.
Remember to dress for the weather (current and future) and wear layers! Don't forget water and sunscreen.

Botanic Garden Guided Walking Tours2020-07-08T10:00:00Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Yampa River Botanic Park led by Board members and volunteers. Learn about the history of the Botanic Park and the plants that thrive in the Yampa Valley.
Participants are limited to 9 per tour and people must preregister here. Participants are required to wear a face-covering and must stay 6’ apart.

Agricultural History Talks at More & Arnold Barns2020-07-08T17:30:00Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum at the historic More and Arnold Barns for FREE agricultural history talks this summer. 5th generation native and museum board member, Krista Monger will share the history of these two magnificent barns and first-hand accounts of our local agricultural heritage. Also hear the story of the enormous community efforts that saved and preserved these two historic structures.
Monger's family has been ranching in Steamboat Springs for over a century. She and her family run a successful beef cow/calf operation in the lower Elk River Valley.
Directions- Meet at the More Barn on Angel's View Way (off Pine Grove Rd. across from Central Park Plaza). After a short talk at the More Barn, the group will move up to the Arnold Barn on Mount Werner Circle.
