    Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Yampa River Botanic Park led by Board members and volunteers. Learn about the history of the Botanic Park and the plants that thrive in the Yampa Valley. Participants are limited to 9 per tour and people must preregister here. Participants are required to wear a face-covering and must stay 6’ apart.

    Town Hall #27 - Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Toolkit The Leadership Steamboat class created the DEI toolkit as part of its 2020 program. The class studied issues of diversity, inclusivity and equity in Routt County through group interviews, a review of local demographics and research about how communities are addressing these issues. Then, the group created a resource that offers relatively simple strategies individuals, businesses, governmental entities and nonprofits can pursue to be more aware of and actively work toward a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community

  3. Organic Waste Compost Collection

    September 16, 2020, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Howelsen Park

    A pilot project launched a new way to compost organic waste for residential and business customers through a unique partnership between Innovative Regeneration Colorado (IRC) and the City of Steamboat Springs. Program participants will drop-off organic waste in buckets provided by the program every week at the Rodeo Grounds. The drive-through collection site will take the buckets, weigh them, dump the organic waste into IRC’s containers and then return the bucket to customers so that the next week’s material can be collected. Staffed by IRC’s Feed for Seed personnel, the mobile collection will be available every Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm, starting July 15. So far, approximately twenty participants have enrolled in the pilot program which spans residents and businesses.
