It conveys policies identified by the community in a series of planning discussions held during 1998-2001 and also incorporates fundamental preservation principles that are embraced nationally. It therefore establishes a basis for property owners to plan improvement projects that will respect the heritage of the community and maintain its historic structures and sites.
