Reserve Program

Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue has several reserves serving in our community. All reserves completed the Steamboat Springs Fire Academy and obtained their Firefighter I certificates.

Reserves continue training throughout the year with our staff as well as serve our community as firefighters working shifts within our department.

Our reserve staff is required to work a minimum of two shifts per month or twenty-four per year. They are required to maintain their Emergency Medical Training (EMT) certification as well as their Firefighter I certifications by attending a minimum of 50 hours of training per year.

We are very proud of the level of training and professionalism our reserves give to our agency and our community.
