Teen School Days Off

During the school year for School Days Off, the City of Steamboat Springs Teen Programs offer ALL DAY recreation programming for 6th, 7th & 8th grade students. Teen School Days Off (TSDO) will either be a Teens On Tour (TOT) or Teens Around Town (TAT) program. TOT programs will travel out of Steamboat Springs to experience a variety of recreation opportunities in the region. TAT programs are day trips in and around Routt County. TOT & TAT are all day (approximately 8:00am-5:30pm) programs. Pick up and drop off times and location may vary depending on the activity.

Girls Club

Girls Club is an afterschool club for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade girls in Steamboat Springs. Join in the fun on Wednesdays from 3:15-5:30 pm. Girls Club is a safe, supportive environment for girls to have fun and learn life skills. The primary focus of Girls' Club is building life skills in a group setting and to provide the participants with a unique opportunity to be mentored by a non-parent, adult role model. Girls' Club offers a variety of opportunities with regard to culture, education, health, outdoor adventures, resiliency skills, self defense, leadership development, and arts & crafts. Free. Limited Enrollment.

Teen After School Club

Teen After School Club (TASC) provides weekly after school programming for 6th, 7th and 8th graders on Thursdays, from 3:15-5:30 pm. Activities include games, cooking, crafts, sports and field trips. Students must be registered and signed up in the Steamboat Springs Middle School administration office by Wednesday at 3:30pm. Free.

Snowboard Outreach Society (SOS)

In collaboration with the Snowboard Outreach Society (SOS), Teen Programs offer the Learn to Ride and University programs for Routt County youth. SOS is a non-profit organization that serves youth through the sport of snowboarding, adult mentoring, and civic engagement. The program uses snowboarding as a tool to convey the five core values of the curriculum; Courage, Discipline, Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion. The Teen Program is responsible for recruiting participants and adult volunteers, and coordinating all paperwork necessary. For more information contact Brooke Lightner.
