The motorcycle used is a 1998 Kawasaki 1000 and is designed to allow for extra storage space for first aid equipment, the officer’s paperwork and necessary emergency equipment. The motorcycle is equipped with heavy-duty brakes, police radio, siren, and emergency lighting.
The motorcycle has proven to be an effective traffic and patrol vehicle due to its ability to go and maneuver where conventional police vehicles cannot. It is also a fuel efficient and public-friendly mode of transportation. Many agencies throughout the country are utilizing motorcycles as a means of traffic enforcement.
Currently, we have one sworn officer assigned to this patrol, Officer Bill Stucker.
