Mission Statement

To provide an environment that promotes and anticipates the recreational, open space and cultural needs of all citizens; to be a catalyst for innovational programming in conjunction with civic, private and the business sector; and to remain committed to being accountable for the maintenance, preservation and development of the natural resources entrusted to us.

During our building remodel, the Parks, Open Space & Recreation front office is located at the Howelsen Ice Arena.

At their regularly scheduled Parks and Recreation Commission Worksession meeting, the Commission hosted the Findings Presentation for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The results of the community survey and the level of service analysis for parks, facilities and programs were reviewed at the presentation. All community residents, business owners, sports groups and any other interested parties are invited to review these draft documents.
