  1. Downtown Historic Walking Tour

    Starts at the Tread of Pioneers Museum, 800 Oak St. This easy walking tour highlights the historic buildings and development of downtown Steamboat Springs and unveils the stories of the town's founding and early settlers. Participants travel past and learn about the original town square, power plant, newspaper building, courthouse, and more.

  2. Yoga on the Green

    July 23, 2020, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Yampa River Botanic Park

    oga on the Green at the Yampa River Botanic Park will be held Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 – 10 a.m., weather permitting. Meet on the Green! Participation is limited to 50 people and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please wear a face covering and space mats at least 6 feet apart. Practicing on the Park Green is unlike any class you’ve ever taken. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, delicate gardens and a serene pond, you’ll find the peace and stillness are unmatched in the Botanic Park.   3. Agricultural History Talks at More & Arnold Barns

    July 23, 2020, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ More Barn

    Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum at the historic More and Arnold Barns for FREE agricultural history talks this summer. 5th generation native and museum board member, Krista Monger will share the history of these two magnificent barns and first-hand accounts of our local agricultural heritage. Also hear the story of the enormous community efforts that saved and preserved these two historic structures. Monger's family has been ranching in Steamboat Springs for over a century. She and her family run a successful beef cow/calf operation in the lower Elk River Valley. Directions- Meet at the More Barn on Angel's View Way (off Pine Grove Rd. across from Central Park Plaza). After a short talk at the More Barn, the group will move up to the Arnold Barn on Mount Werner Circle.
