Gov. Polis orders flags lowered to honor former Colorado House Speaker Ruben Valdez
DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today ordered the United States and Colorado flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, to honor former Colorado House Speaker Ruben Valdez, the first Hispanic House Speaker in Colorado.
Valdez passed on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.
