Coffee with Council May NewsFlash

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-May 3, 2023-May the fourth be strong with you or at least with the coffee served during the May edition of Coffee with Council which brews up conversation across three diverse topics tomorrow.

Join available City Councilors for Coffee with Council scheduled from 7:30am to 8:30am in the Carver Room of Centennial Hall (124 10th Street). This month’s sampling savors Affordable Housing Strategies-Part 2, Recycling Drop Off Site and Council Salary & Benefits.

During Coffee with Council, councilors are looking to gauge the community’s tastes for a full-bodied discussion (no presentations) on each of these topics and solicit individual’s opinions before the work session the following week.

  • Affordable Housing Strategies-Part II will share preliminary analysis and information on two affordable housing strategies – inclusionary zoning and short-term rental to long-term rental conversion program.
  • Recycling Drop Off Site looks at results of the feasibility study for a Recycling Drop Off Site.
  • Council Salary & Benefits reviews current City Council salary and benefits and discusses potential changes for future councils.

The final Coffee with Council is scheduled for June 8, before council transitions to their summer booth at Mainstreet Steamboat’s Farmers Market.
