STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-June 1, 2023-Savor the last Coffee with Council a week from today, Thursday, June 8, when Council infuses three topics into the final brewing of spring of this popular interaction and community conversation session.
Join available City Councilors for Coffee with Council scheduled from 7:30am to 8:30am in the Carver Room of Centennial Hall (124 10th Street). This month’s sampling gets a taste of Fire Mitigation/Resilience, Civic Plaza Design and Howelsen Hill Season Review.
During Coffee with Council, councilors are looking to gauge the community’s tastes for a caffeinated discussion (no presentations) on each of these topics and solicit individual’s opinions before the work session the following week.
- Fire Mitigation/Resilience will share ongoing efforts within the City of Steamboat Springs and Routt County and additional updates from the Wildfire Council initiatives
- Civic Plaza Design looks at the proposed two concepts for the public outdoor space between Centennial Hall and the new Fire Station & City Hall.
- Howelsen Hill Season Review recaps the winter at the historic ski area as well as the first season of operating tubing.
With Coffee with Council percolated out for the season, City Council will transition to their summer booth at the Mainstreet Steamboat’s Farmers Market starting Saturday, June 10. Councilors are in the booth from 9am to 11:30am every Saturday.
